A Quick Step Guide to Getting Your Site Listed in Google

 

No I’m not asking you to bow to the almighty Google. This is a brief tutorial to get your site to submit to Google.  Hopefully this will help Google see your site and it’s pages so that you can be seen!

The first step if you dont already have one is to set up a Gmail account. Google uses this email so you can sign up for webmaster tools and analytics so it’s best to go ahead and get one. Once you have an email address and password please continue below.

To submit your site to Google first click here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url

Once you have done this please go to www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

On the upper right hand corner you’ll see a button that says Sign Up. Please click that button to sign up for Google Web Master tools. Once you have filled out all the information needed it will then take you to the webmaster tools home screen.

Please click on Add a site to get started. Once you have taken care of the verification of the site, you’ll have to submit to Google a sitemap to really get the information flowing.
